Manchester United were heavily linked with Mexican midfielder Hector Herrera during the summer and the rumours have once again picked up pace ahead of the January transfer window.
The 22-year-old midfielder from Mexican outfit Pachucha is believed to be wanted by Manchester United, Porto and Olympique Lyon according to Lopez Olvera, a commentator who works with the Mexican media outlet Cadenatres.
It is believed that Porto have bid €9 million for the midfielder and Pachucha are keen to break the Mexican transfer record of €8 million if they do sell Herrera, with the club reportedly keen to hold onto the player until the summer of 2013.

Sir Alex has said that he won’t make any signings in January but we all know by now to take what he says with a pinch of salt when it comes to transfers.
