Stretford End Flags unveiled their new David Moyes banner at Monday night’s 0-0 stalemate with Chelsea labelling the Scot as ‘The Chosen One’.

There has been a mixed response to the flag but speaking in literal terms, Moyes was chosen for the Manchester United job wasn’t he? People have said that Moyes needs to earn a banner but all it does is get behind the manager which is exactly what Fergie wanted. It is only poking a bit of fun at Mourinho who is still mourning after missing out on his dream job at Old Trafford.

Mourinho insisted that he never wanted the United job in the first place but his 15 minute chat with Paddy Crerand before the Champions League game at Old Trafford felt more like a job interview than anything. Then there was his admittance that ‘the better team lost’ on the night, a statement

Of course, Mourinho would never admit that to save grace but we all know he wanted to be  ‘The Chosen One’ after Fergie retired instead of Moyes.
