Brazilian striker still wants Manchester United move despite broken down negotiations

Bruno Gomes was a name who regularly featured on The Peoples Person back in the summer.

The 17-year-old Brazilian striker didn’t hide his desire to join Manchester United after a successful trial with the club and fresh reports today suggest that the youngster is still holding out for a move to Old Trafford.

But speaking exclusively to The Peoples Person back in July, Gomes’ representative Alexis Malavolta confirmed that an agreement had not been reached with United and that Gomes would be looking to move elsewhere after negotiations broke down.

“Manchester United and Bruno Gomes did not reach an agreement and he will no longer go to Manchester,” he confirmed.

“He is very upset because he was focused on playing in 2014 for United.

“Manchester also has a stake in the economic rights B9 but released him to deal with another club.

“Paulo Conceição and I, as representative of Bruno Gomes, will talk to the clubs who are interested in Italy, England and Brazil.

“It was just a case of waiting for the official position of Manchester. Now that has been released, we will seek the best for Bruno.”

Claims of fresh reports indicate that despite being told a move wouldn’t happen, Gomes is still hoping that it could still materialise and from United’s point of view, why would they not be interested in a free scoring 17-year-old Brazilian striker?

There is strong interested from Sao Paolo amongst other clubs including Udinese but Gomes hasn’t yet made a move, so there is time for United to come back in once again for him if they change their mind on the Brazilian.
