Loan Round Up: Bebe’s back in action but Henriquez left frustrated

Marnick Vermijl (NEC Nijmegen) – Vermijl played the full match as NEC took on Cambuur Leeuwarden. On seven minutes, the opposition keeper was forced into action to prevent the attacking threat of Vermijl. The visitors took the lead after 33 minutes but it wasn’t long before NEC got back on level pegging. Cambuur took the lead again in the second half with roughly 20 minutes left. Vermijl pushed forward in search of the equaliser. He did well to beat two opposition defenders but his shot was weak. The match ended in a 2-1 loss for NEC.

Davide Petrucci (Royal Antwerp) – Petrucci recovered from his knee injury to take his place on the bench. However, he was an unused substitute in the 0-0 draw with Hoogstraten.

Angelo Henriquez (Real Zaragoza) – Henriquez played 72 minutes in Real Zaragoza’s 1-0 win over Girona. He didn’t have many chances to get on the score sheet. His best opportunity came after 32 minutes when he had a headed effort on goal which unfortunately for him missed the target. He was booked in the 55th minute and was replaced in the 72nd minute by Diego Suarez.

Bébé (Paços de Ferreira) – Just five days after Bébé returned to training following a dislocated collarbone, he was fit enough to take his place among the substitutes on the bench for Paços. He came on in the 71st minute as Paços were leading 1-0 against Belenenses. He helped his team hold on for the victory. Hopefully this means he will be in contention for a starting place in their Europa League clash with Fiorentina on Thursday.

Jonny Sutherland (Bolton Wanderers Under-21s) – Sutherland was an unused substitute in Bolton Under-21s thrilling 6-2 victory away at Stoke.
