Both players worked with Solskjaer in United’s academy when he was Reserves manager, were signed by him for Molde and will now make the move to Wales to join him in the Premier League at Cardiff.
Daehli has already arrived in England ahead of an announcement which is expected to be today. Eikrem left United back in 2011 while Daehli left this summer and it will be great to see both players in the Premier League.
“We’ll see what happens, but I believe this will be resolved within a couple of days,” Jacobsen, Molde’s managing director Tarje Nordstrand said about Daehli’s move to Cardiff.

Although it is unlikely Eikrem will ever return to the club, there is hope that Daehli could come back in the future. When he left in the summer, those who had watched him in the academy were disappointed because he was such a rare talent.
The fact he has left United, been called up to Norway’s senior national team and now returned to the Premier League within the space of six months aged just 18 is an indication of just how good he is. The only reason he left was to gain more first team experience and his decision has been vindicated.
Solskjaer made the perfect start at Cardiff with a victory over Newcastle and now that he has brought in two ex-United starlets, his revolution in Wales can fully begin.
