Nani has been linked with a host of clubs in the past 48 hours including Inter Milan and Tottenham Hotspur. The 27-year-old hasn’t featured for Manchester United much this year due to a string of injuries and subsequently has been linked with a move today, even though it isn’t clear whether he is fully fit right now or not.
The signing of Juan Mata means we do have quite a lot of players who can operate on the wings but United shouldn’t be looking to let Nani leave. He is too good a player on his day and could play a role in the Champions League. If we were to let him leave, do so in the summer not in January.
Fulham yesterday submitted bids for midfield duo Larnell Cole and Ryan Tunnicliffe. Rumours have suggested that Fulham have already filled up their loan spaces in the Premier League which would mean that the bids were for permanent deals.
While Tunnicliffe leaving wouldn’t be too much of a surprise, Cole definitely would. He is only 20 and we are yet to give him a loan spell. The Daily Mail’s Adam Crafton has reported we are not interested in letting him leave on a permanent deal but are open to him getting a loan which is the right thing to do.
Michael Keane had a poor loan spell at Derby County but David Moyes wants to send him straight back out on loan and QPR are reportedly in talks to sign him. He’s come on leaps and bounds as a player in the past 18 months but still isn’t ready for United’s first team, so another loan spell is the right move for him.
His brother Will Keane had a loan spell earlier this season at Wigan Athletic that was cut short by injury but QPR are the club interested in giving him another chance for the second half of the season. That means both the Keane’s could go on loan to QPR where Fabio spent time last year.
Guillermo Varela joined United in the summer for £2.5 million but hasn’t been able to fully settle down at the club. Torino are the club linked with a move for him today. He has been away from the club on compassionate leave in recent weeks and now could spend further time away from the club. Given that Saidy Janko is the more promising looking player at right-back with the Under-21s, it would be a goo move.
