Manchester United’s Jack Rudge has joined League Two side Torquay United on a one month loan.
The 19-year-old midfielder hasn’t had much opportunity to play this season as he was hampered earlier on this season by a hernia problem and unfortunately was ineligible to take part in the UEFA Youth League.
The youngster was a regular in the Under-18s squad last season where he made 21 appearances, 18 as a starter, and scored three goals.
A tough midfielder with a powerful shot who is also adept at taking freekicks, Rudge will relish the chance of first team football.
Rudge will go straight into Torquay’s squad to face Portsmouth. Torquay boss Chris Hargreaves has described the signing of Rudge as a ‘great coup’.
