Nemanja Vidic’s agent Silvano Martina has confirmed that Inter Milan have shown an interest in signing him on a Bosman deal this summer for free.
The 32-year-old’s contract expires this year meaning that he is free to negotiate with other clubs in January.
Inter have already made their first enquiry but they are unlikely to be the only side who want to sign Vidic this year as although he is 32, he is still a world-class defender when he is on form.
“The Nerazzurri have shown only an interest for my client, at least for now,” Martina told InterLive.it.
The Sun claims that Vidic is angry with United because we are yet to approach him about a new contract and it is backed up by The Telegraph and the Irish Independent who both claim that Vidic is free to join Inter on a free transfer this summer.
For me, I wouldn’t be adverse to Vidic being given a one year deal seeing as Patrice Evra and Rio Ferdinand are likely to leave in the summer, and losing all three would be a massive loss to the dressing room. Alternatively, Moyes may simply want to build his own United side from the bottom up and let Vidic go on to pastures new.
Do you think David Moyes should keep Nemanja Vidic or is now the right time or him to leave Manchester United?
