PICTURE: Why Toni Kroos would leave Bayern Munich for Manchester United

Toni Kroos annual salary is just €4.5m which makes him one of the lowest earners at Bayern Munich, it has been revealed after Bild released a full list of salaries for the German club.

The likes of Franck Ribery (€12m), Mario Gotze (€12m) and Thiago Alcantara (€8m) earn far in excess of Kroos and it is believed that this lack of parity between players is the cause of Kroos’ contract stalemate.

He believes he is worth far more than the €4.5m that he currently earns and a reported wage of £150,000 a week has been touted in the press, which would make his annual salary just under €9 million and make him one of the top earners at Bayern.

Following their treble success last year, it was inevitable that Bayern were going to have some players who wanted their wages to increase as a consequence but they have a very strict financial model, so Kroos might be forced out of the club if his demands continue to be unwavering.

If that were to happen, David Moyes should be waiting with a cheque book and a cushioned plane seat for Kroos with a one way ticket to Old Trafford.
