Robin van Persie ruled out of West Ham due to injury

Robin van Persie has been ruled out of Manchester United’s game against West Ham this weekend due to injury.

Van Persie was stretchered off against Olympiacos after sustaining a knee to the back of his hamstring and that injury has ruled him out but there was no confirmation on the extent of his injury from David Moyes.

“We’re getting Robin re-scanned today,” he said.

“We’re not quite conclusive on everything we’ve seen so we want to check that out and be sure.”

With Manchester City on Tuesday, Van Persie’s absence would be a real blow if his hat-trick against Olympiacos was anything to go by but Manchester United have Danny Welbeck in good form, so we should be able to cope without him at least for the trip to West Ham.
