Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has told Bild that Toni Kroos is sure to wear the Bayern Munich shirt next year but did not go as far as to suggest that he will sign a new contract.
The 24-year-old has delayed contract talks with Bayern Munich until the summer due to his participation in the World Cup with Germany.
With his current deal expiring in 2015, Kroos would be free to leave Bayern Munich on a free next summer if he did not want to sign a new deal at the Bavarian club and was not allowed to leave.
Rummenigge’s comments indicate that Bayern have no intention of letting him leave in the summer, even if it meant losing him on a Bosman in 2015.

This is the latest move in a tit-for-tat scrap between Kroos and Bayern Munich for control in the negotiation process as Kroos had the ball firmly back in his court after he delayed contract talks until the summer.

Whether or not Kroos does sign a new deal will drag on until the summer but Bayern consistently speaking to the press about it suggests they are not entirely confident he will.
