Wayne Rooney celebrated Nemanja Vidic’s header against Bayern Munich with a passionate outburst that showed he has reconnected with Manchester United this season.
Money might have been the deciding factor for Rooney at Old Trafford but he has committed almost all of his professional playing career to Manchester United, so surely he has some affiliation with the club by now? His celebration certainly suggests he does.
In a season of mediocrity, Rooney’s committed performances have been a mini respite and if the whole team put in half as much effort as he does, we’d probably not be in this position.
Although his celebration was good, Rooney has some way to go in order to beat Thiago Silva’s celebration when Paris St Germain’s Javier Pastore scored their third over Chelsea this week. Fist pump anyone?
