Hernandez: I’m ready for Bayern and want to make Moyes’ decision difficult

Javier Hernandez has put himself in contention to play against Bayern Munich this week and admitted he wants to make the decision for David Moyes as hard as possible.

The Mexican was back to his best against Newcastle United in front of Shinji Kagawa and Juan Mata as he thrived on their instinctive through balls and playing to feet style of football.

It really suited Chicharito’s natural game and it was great to see he has that sort of performance still in him, something he is keen to replicate against Bayern Munich.

“It’s difficult when we are not playing too much,” Chicharito admitted.

“To give a performance like this as a whole team is pleasing because you see players like Shinji, me and Juan Mata, Antonio Valencia at right-back and Adnan Januzaj coming in. It was a good performance and a good result.

“We’re all ready and we want to make the gaffer have a difficult position. We all want to play in the game at Bayern Munich and we proved that today.”

Chicharito scored and grabbed an assist but it was his overall performance that was most pleasing.

At times, he has looked extremely isolated as a lone striker for Manchester United but it was the polar opposite against Newcastle which was thanks in no small part to the players he had around him, including Mata.

“It’s unbelievable,” Chicharito said on Mata’s performance.

“You can see that’s going to be a very important player for this club. He needed to get used to the way that we play and the way the manager wants us to play.

“In the past games, he did alright but the goal he scored against Aston Villa gave him a lot of confidence and you can see what he is capable of, with assists, with free-kicks and to score goals so he’s a very important, clever player.”
