Ten players who could leave Manchester United including Kagawa and Nani

Manchester United’s summer should see plenty of new faces coming into Old Trafford but there is every possibility that it will see a lot of players depart.

The Guardian and Daily Mail are both reporting that ten players face an uncertain future at the club in what could be an unprecedented amount of departures this summer.

The ten players in question are Ferdinand, Cleverley, Kagawa, Evra, Giggs, Buttner, Anderson, Nani and Young alongside the already confirmed departure of Vidic.

It’s a crazy amount of players but what is most startling about is that most of those players could certainly leave United.

Ferdinand should follow in the footsteps of Vidic and a move to the MLS or middle east for a final pay day before retiring would probably best suit him. Last season, he was phenomenal but under David Moyes he has been poor all season.

Evra has had his heyday and a new left-back is likely to arrive meaning he could leave too and Buttner’s position in the squad is also under threat. However, if both left, we would have no left-back in the squad which is a dangerous position even if somebody new came in.

Anderson, Nani, Cleverley and Young are all players who haven’t lived up to expectations at United and could therefore plausibly be sold too.

Up until his recent form alongside Mata, Kagawa seemed certain to leave in order to find a club he can be more comfortable in but since partnering with the Spaniard, Kagawa has began to spread his wings, so selling him might be a decision Moyes would live to regret.

As for Giggs, there has been much talk that he and Moyes have fallen out but even if he did retire, he’d more than likely stay at the club in a different capacity

United already have a huge job overhauling a weak squad this summer but if a lot of these players do leave, the job of rebuilding this squad would become a monumental task to be completed in one transfer window.

Do you think Manchester United should sell any of these players?
