Manchester United are lining up a €31 million bid for Napoli’s Marek Hamsik and are also considering the possibility of offering Shinji Kagawa plus €15 million for the playmaker, according to TuttoMercatoWeb.
The 26-year-old has remained at Napoli despite the departures of the likes of Ezequiel Lavezzi and Edison Cavani where he has become one of their most influential players in Serie A from his attacking midfield position.
A couple of years ago if you had asked Manchester United fans if they would have wanted to sign Marek Hamsik, the majority of us would have bitten your hand off but that ship has sailed.
Now, if there’s one position Manchester United do not need to buy players in, it is the attacking midfield position.
Also, Shinji Kagawa should certainly remain at Old Trafford past the summer.
The Japanese playmaker endured a tough season through injuries, poor form and positional problems but alongside Juan Mata in Robin van Persie’s absence, he has flourished.
He has shown that he deserves to be given more game time at Old Trafford and we shouldn’t be looking at selling him. Why would Manchester United look at buying or selling in a position we’re covered in when there are so many other problems with our squad right now?
