Gary Neville was in Madrid last night for the Champions League semi-final and caught up with a certain Radamel Falcao after the game.
Falcao is still undergoing rehabilitation on a knee problem that could keep him out of the World Cup but the 28-year-old is in line to make a return to the side.
Last summer, Manchester United were reportedly interested in making a move for the in-demand Colombian striker and Guillem Balague went one step further by suggesting United had put a downpayment on him.
As it transpired, Falcao moved to AS Monaco in a big money move, not United.

There’s no doubt that United will once again be linked with a move for Falcao as we invariably are linked with the biggest players but if we didn’t want him after a prolific season with Atletico Madrid, we’re unlikely to want him after an injury ridden season.
I hope Falcao paid for that meal with the downpayment United made last summer…
