Cesc Fabregas has not been included in Barcelona’s promotional photos for the 2014/15 kit release, further fuelling speculation that Manchester United could have a chance of signing him this summer.
Following reports from Marca this week about Barcelona being willing to sell Fabregas for €40m, Guillem Balague supporting those claims and the Daily Mail suggesting he would in fact cost £45m, it’s safe to say the Fabregas transfer rumours have started in earnest.
What can you take from Fabregas not being included in the promotional shots? It’s certainly nothing to do with his Puma sponsorship as Adidas’ Lionel Messi is in the photos.
Plenty of others including Jordi Alba, Alexis Sanchez and Pedro are also not included in the photo, so Fabregas’ exclusion is unlikely to be because he has been singled out but it doesn’t help cool any speculation surrounding his future at Barcelona
That being said, this isn’t the first time that Barcelona’s kit promotional photos have caused a stir as last year, Thiago Alcantara was cropped out not long before his move to Bayern Munich.
