Dynamo Moscow have officially confirmed Alexander Buttner will join them this summer and that only ‘technical details’ are needed to complete the deal.
A contract has already been agreed with Buttner which indicates that the ‘technical detail’s are more than likely to do with agreeing a fee with Manchester United.
Buttner, 25, spent two seasons at United but wasn’t able to oust Patrice Evra from the left-back position and Louis van Gaal decided he didn’t want him as part of his squad, despite being ‘named man of the match 14 times in his career at Old Trafford.’
As a defender, Buttner was very unreliable and most United fans never saw him as a long term replacement for Evra but good luck to him out in Russia.
At least Buttner left United on a high note after his decent performance against Bayern Munich at Old Trafford.
He is only 25 so has plenty of time left to forge a career and if he gets given the opportunity to play as a left-winger instead of a left-back, he could become a decent player.
