Alexis Sanchez is a player who is in hot-demand following his performances at the World Cup and Manchester United’s interest in the Chilean winger is front page news in Spain’s Mundo Deportivo (click here for image).

Sanchez, 25, has been heavily linked with a move away from Barcelona this summer, least not because of a reportedly strained relationship with Lionel Messi, and the fact he doesn’t play as much football as he’d want at Barcelona.

So far this summer, United have been credited with a failed bid for Sanchez on not one but two occasions but up until this point, there has been no more movement than that.

However, now that Chile have been knocked out of the World Cup, there will be developments in Sanchez’s future over the next few weeks.

As a United fan looking on, it seems strange why Barcelona would even consider selling Sanchez but his relationship with Messi would be a plausible reason behind it, so there is certainly reason to suggest he could leave the Nou Camp this year.

If there is even the slightest chance he could leave Barcelona, United should make it clear that Sanchez want him before others swoop.

Liverpool have also been linked with a money move to Suarez and from an objective perspective, Suarez could given them a bargaining chip if they were to be in for Sanchez at the last minute if the Uruguayan was to be used in any potential swap dive.

From a red-tinted perspective, Nani would share a very similarity to Sanchez and the sort of player who could thrive under Louis van Gaal‘s leadership but whether a move for the Chilean winger happens remain to be seen.
