Man United transfer gossip: Evra to Juventus, €30m for William Carvalho

Here is the latest Manchester United transfer gossip from around the web.

The Portuguese press believe Manchester United are going to offer €30m for William Carvalho, a figure which would fall short of his €45m release clause but more in line what most people feel a 22-year-old yet unproven midfielder from the Portuguese league should be worth.

There have also been developments in the future of Real Madrid winger Angel di Maria after the Argentinian admitted his future at the Santiago Bernabeu was not secure, fuelling further speculation linking him with Man United and other clubs. Di Maria would certainly be a big improvement over United’s current wingers.

Alexis Sanchez is another who has been strongly linked to United and now that Barcelona have confirmed they’ve received multiple offers for the Chilean who starred at the World Cup, there is every chance he could leave the Nou Camp this summer. Destination, as of yet, is unknown.

Defensively, Thomas Vermaelen and Mats Hummels names have cropped up once again with the former reportedly set to complete his £11m transfer once the World Cup is over. As for Hummels, The Express believe United are going to launch an ‘all-out assault’ to sign him.

Mark Ogden from The Telegraph has stuck his neck out and said that United’s rebuilding budget this summer is between £150-200m, figures which would leave United with a huge pot of cash still left to invest.

To finish, surprisingly, Patrice Evra has reportedly agreed a contract with Juventus and could still leave United this summer if Louis van Gaal is happy for him to.
