Here is the latest Manchester United transfer gossip from around the web including Chinese whispers from Arturo Vidal’s neighbours and confirmation of interest in Daley Blind from his agent.
Transfer news with Arturo Vidal has been very hot and cold over the past two weeks. Some days there’s a flurry of new information but it is generally followed by a cooling down period.
Now, his neighbours have told La Stampa in Italy that he’s planning to move out of his house in Turin. If that was the case, it could be to do with the fact his house was robbed there last year and he doesn’t feel safe enough there any more, or because he is preparing for a move away from Juventus altogether.
As well as reports from gossiping neighbours, Pavel Nedved has insisted Antonio Conte’s departure will not affect the club’s stance on selling Vidal – he is still not for sale.
In Holland, the agent of Daley Blind has revealed interest from several clubs but said there was currently no offers for the Dutchman.
Fellow Dutchman Stefan de Vrij has also once again been linked with a move to Old Trafford and fresh reports suggest it is a case of when, not if, De Vrij becomes a United player.
Both De Vrij and Blind would be excellent additions to United’s squad given the need for a fresh centre back and left-back cover in the squad, a role which Thomas Vermaelen could also fill, especially following Arsene Wenger’s latest comments saying he couldn’t guarantee Vermaelen was going to remain at the club.
