Manchester United’s Bebe completes move to Portuguese champions Benfica

Bebe has now completed his move to Portuguese champions Benfica and has left Manchester United after being with the club for four years.

The 24-year-old never managed to find any sort of form in Manchester in comparison to how well he did on his loan spell at Pacos de Ferreira in Portugal last year.

Bebe’s status as a cult figure at United won’t disappear over time but for all the wrong reasons as he’ll go down as one of, if not the, worst signings made by Sir Alex Ferguson during his time as United manager.

Good luck to Bebe out in Portugal. It would be fantastic to see him become one of the best players in the Portuguese league and his performances there last year suggest there is a glimmer of hope that could happen.
