Manchester United transfer gossip: £45m Vidal bid, Juventus set ultimatum to leave

Here is the latest Manchester United transfer gossip from around the web including a flurry of fresh reports on Arturo Vidal and an Ajax coach admitting he expects Daley Blind to leave this summer.

After reports from La Stampa suggested Arturo Vidal’s agent had agreed a €12m per year contract with Manchester United in principle, stories on the Chilean midfielder quickly emerged.

Daily Star jumped in to suggest United were prepared to offer a club record £45m in order to secure Vidal and those reports were quickly picked up by the Chilean press.

La Stampa have then followed yesterday’s claims up by saying Juventus have set Vidal an ultimatum that he must inform the club if he wants to leave no later than halfway through August. The Vidal story is certainly developing quickly once again.

Elsewhere, Ajax’s youth coach has revealed Daley Blind has been training on his own and believes he is on his way out of Ajax. Meanwhile, Arsene Wenger confirmed United are in the running for unwanted centre-back Thomas Vermaelen.

An interesting update on Angel di Maria’s future is that Paris St Germain have ruled themselves out of a move for him due to his cost, which indicates there is a seriously hefty price tag on his head.
