The agent of Brazilian midfielder Lucas Silva has confirmed he has been contacted by representatives of both Manchester United and Inter Milan.
Silva, 21, plays for the current Brazilian champions Cruzeiro and recent reports have linked the young midfielder with a host of clubs including United.
Speaking to Superesportes, his agent Luiz Rocha confirmed the contact from United but revealed there were currently no official bids for Silva.
”I don’t have a lot of details to give you,” his agent Luiz Rocha said.
“I can confirm that I have been contacted by people linked to Manchester United and Inter.
“There are no official bids for Lucas Silva at this time. Now we are evaluating the player’s future.”
Having recently been called up to Brazil’s Under-21s, Silva is a highly rated holding midfielder who started his career off as a striker and is considered a fine prospect in Brazil.
Silva is far from the finished product and it’s no surprise to hear that United are actively looking for defensive midfielders but as Silva is 21, United academy graduate Ben Pearson is somebody who could also be considered for a first-team opportunity.
At this stage, United representatives have held preliminary talks with Silva but here’s an obligatory Youtube compilation of the 21-year-old in action whereby you can see him in action:
