Anderson rejects loan move from Man United to FC Pune City in Indian Super League – report

Manchester United permitted Indian Super league side FC Pune City to approach Anderson over a three-month loan deal but the midfielder vetoed any potential move, according to reports.

Anderson, 26, is on the periphery of Louis van Gaal‘s first-team squad and is unlikely to get much game time this season with United, bar an injury crisis in midfield.

Despite that, reports suggest Anderson is not keen on making a move to the Indian Super League and would prefer to stay at Old Trafford.

The likes of David Trezeguet, Robert Pires and Alessandro Del Piero have all played in the Indian Super League but Anderson isn’t keen on the loan move.

There’s very little chance Anderson will get anywhere near the first-team this year because he isn’t good enough and also as there are very few games, meaning Van Gaal will not be able to rotate and give his fringe players as much competitive action.

A move to the Indian Super League would give Anderson regular first-team football but it is most certainly a major step down from the Premier League, something which Anderson clearly isn’t keen to do.
