Phil Jones fit to return for Man United against Everton

Phil Jones will be available for selection this weekend for Manchester United’s game against Everton after returning from injury one week ahead of schedule, according to The Telegraph.

The defender has been out of action for a few weeks after he sustained a hamstring injury while away on international duty with England.

Jones’ injury came at a terrible time for both him and United because he had been in a rich vein of form and he will now have to work his way back into the side.

Given United’s current defensive injury crisis, it will be a welcome return for Louis van Gaal given that United only had one senior centre-back fit for West Ham’s visit last weekend.

The question now would be whether Van Gaal puts Jones straight back into the starting XI or gives Paddy McNair and Marcos Rojo another opportunity following their impressive display against West Ham.

Who do you think should start in central defence against Everton at the weekend?
