Manchester United have signed physio Matt Radcliffe from Southampton in a bid to help the club overcome the current injury crisis.
United have a plethora of first-team players injured including Michael Carrick, Ander Herrera and Jonny Evans, and it has been the case since Swansea on the opening day of the season. Now, Van Gaal wants to try and change things.
Radcliffe is considered to be one of the best fitness coaches in the Premier League and reports suggest he’ll start his new job after Southampton’s game against Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.
One thing to admire about Van Gaal is that he is a man of action. Less than 72 hours after commenting that Carrington was too exposed to the wind, diggers and trucks were driving into United’s training ground.
Now, due to an injury crisis, he is making staff changes to help solve the problem and get rid of the issue.
The Dutchman didn’t have enough time in the summer to make sure every aspect of the club ran how he wanted it to and slowly but surely, he is beginning to do that this season.
