Here is the latest Manchester United news from around the web including a positive update on Angel di Maria’s race to be fit in time for Chelsea and Sir Alex Ferguson insisting he wasn’t responsible for the failure of David Moyes at United.
Angel di Maria is winning a race to be fit for Chelsea this weekend reports Mark Ogden from The Telegraph.
The Argentinian underwent treatment at Carrington yesterday and is likely to be fit, which would be fantastic news as United will need him if they are going to be able to beat Chelsea.
There was also injury news of a different kind but this time from the Chelsea camp as the London club faces a crisis of their own as Diego Costa had to be sent to hospital with severe stomach problems and fellow striker Loic Remy injured his leg against Maribor in the Champions League.
If both Costa and Remy are sidelined then Didier Drogba would be Chelsea’s only fit senior striker in the squad and at the age of 36, he’s far from a spring chicken.
Radamel Falcao was left on the bench for United’s game against West Brom by Louis van Gaal because of how much travelling he did with Colombia in the international break but that problem won’t arise in the next break as he’ll only have to travel to London to face USA at Craven Cottage.
