Manchester United vs Crystal Palace: Predicted XI – Wilson starts

David de Gea – Spanish Dave will want a clean sheet to celebrate his 24th birthday.

Antonio Valencia – Not the best right-back alternative to Rafael but the one Louis van Gaal is likely to choose.

Tyler Blackett – Tyler is available for selection and United need him to re-find his early season form again.

Michael CarrickPaddy McNair is available but Van Gaal will probably want the experience of Carrick at the back.

Luke Shaw – The only first-choice defender who is fit to play.

Daley Blind – Has made himself very important in the midfield anchor role and will continue that against Crystal Palace.

Angel di Maria – United’s main man.

Ander Herrera – Marouane Fellaini has been impressive in his recent performances but Van Gaal will want to attack from the first whistle, so Herrera’s ability going forward should get him the nod.

Wayne Rooney – Showed against Manchester City what United had been missing and could be used in a deeper lying midfield role again.

Adnan Januzaj – Two consecutive starts for Januzaj have helped the Belgian youngster and he deserves another against Palace.

James Wilson – Having come on as a substitute against Chelsea and City, now is the time for Wilson to get his first Premier League start under Van Gaal.
