Cambridge vs Man United: Predicted XI – Valdes and Fellaini start

Victor Valdes: It’s going to be a tough game with Cambridge expected to launch lots of aerial balls into the box but it’s probably the only competition Valdes will play in.

Antonio Valencia:Toss up between Valencia and Rafael.

Phil Jones: Chris Smalling and Jonny Evans are ruled out, so Jones should be starting.

Paddy McNair: Another chance for McNair to keep impressing.

Marcos Rojo: Arguably United’s best player against QPR, Louis van Gaal will want him commanding the defence.

Luke Shaw:Back from injury.

Daley Blind: Michael Carrick needs a rest.

Marouane FellainiIn terms of finding the balance which he so desperately seeks, playing Fellaini gives United some solidarity in midfield rather than pure creative spark.

Angel di Maria: Back to midfield hopefully for Di Maria.

Wayne Rooney: Rested for Yeovil Town but will want to play this time.

James Wilson: Deserves a start after strong cameo against QPR.

Radamel Falcao: Did everything but score last weekend, needs goals. Had a good partnership with Wilson vs. QPR.
