David de Gea 5 Had nothing to do bar deal with a few corners and free-kicks. Valdes could have played after all.
Antonio Valencia 3 One of his worst performances of late. Abbey Road pitch played havoc with his touch and he offered no attacking threat.
Marcos Rojo 7 A man who was up for a fight. Threw himself into every tackle, won every header and is really coming into his own.
Michael Carrick 5 Certainly not his finest performance. One superb ball for Falcao almost sealed the deal but besides that United needed more from their captain on the night.
Marouane Fellaini 4 Changed the game against QPR but didn’t happen for him. Drifted too far wide and couldn’t get involved.
Adnan Januzaj 6 Struggled in the middle during the first half but was much more effective out wide. Put in some dangerous balls and lovely footwork late on almost won it for United.
Angel Di Maria 5 It’s hard to give Di Maria a low rating because however poor he can be, his moments of magic almost win games. One beautiful ball should have been put away from Van Persie, was denied himself late on.
James Wilson 3 Nothing happened for him, wouldn’t have even known he was playing until he got booked before being subbed. Replay a big opportunity for him.
Radamel Falcao 5 Once again, worked hard but United aren’t creating chances for him. When they do, like on Saturday, he was denied by a superb save.
Ander Herrera 6 Showed why he should be starting. Linked up play well and United looked slightly more threatening when he came on. Bright game from the Spaniard.
Robin van Persie 5 Struggled for overall involvement, missed a good chance before being denied by Dunn in stoppage time. But a welcome return from injury nonetheless.
Luke Shaw N/A Was a late addition to add pace but had little time to make a real impact.
