Raiola: Pogba would have no problem re-joining Manchester United

Paul Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola has confirmed the French midfielder would have no problem re-joining Manchester United after insisting there is no bad blood between him and his ex-club.

Since leaving Man United, Pogba has gone on to become one of the best young midfielders in the world and although Raiola ruled out any move in the January window, he left the door firmly open for a re-union in the summer.

“Paul renewed his contract in Italy,” Raiola told Sky Sports.

“There is a five-year deal with Juventus and what June and July brings, we will see in June and July.

“He will stay here this window in Italy and after that it’s also up to Juventus and up to himself to see what are the possibilities and what are the things to do.

“I have been in football long enough to say that I cannot foresee the future. Today Paul Pogba is the most expensive player if he would be on the market – that’s the risk, that’s normal; there are only a few clubs that can afford him.

“Let’s say that I am aware of the interest that there is around Paul, obviously, and without naming them, everybody that knows a little bit about football knows that there are only eight clubs that can afford him. That’s the eight clubs that will get into the scramble or the battle to have him.”

Raiola went on to dismiss rumours that a return to Man United was inconceivable for Pogba, instead suggesting there was no hint of a bad relationship between the French midfielder and United.

He added: “Paul has always said he is not angry with Manchester United – you need to move on. So there is no personal grudge against Manchester United. On the contrary, he holds Manchester United very dear and has very nice memories.”

It goes without saying that Pogba would walk straight into Man United’s starting XI if Louis van Gaal were to sign him but if United were interested in him this summer, they certainly wouldn’t be the only club as Real Madrid will always be interested in a marquee signing.

Sir Alex letting Pogba go was one of the worst pieces of business United conducted under the Scot and that would be double compounded in Pogba was to return in a big money transfer.
