The 24-year-old Brazilian defender emerged as a target for Manchester United but Louis van Gaal‘s attention looks to be elsewhere in the market. With such a shaky defence, it comes as no surprise that Van Gaal’s current priority is to bring in defensive reinforcements as continued injuries to Jonny Evans, Chris Smalling, Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones has made it impossible for him to have a stable back four.
Dynamo Kiev defender Aleksandar Dragovic has now emerged as a target after reports in the Austrian press suggested a deal was close to being completed. The powerful defender is Austria’s captain and could be the defensive leader which Van Gaal’s United have so desperately lacked this season.
