Daley Blind re-visits Ajax to say official goodbye

Daley Blind re-visited his former club Ajax this weekend in order to say his official goodbyes to fans having not had the opportunity during the summer.

The 24-year-old spent almost his entire career at Ajax having joined their youth academy back in 1998 and he went on to make 102 appearances in six years for the senior side.

Due to his World Cup commitments and the timing of his transfer, Blind wasn’t able to give an official farewell to fans but he travelled back to Ajax in order to give his own farewell to fans like he would have wanted to in the summer.

It’s a measure of his character that Blind would go back to give a proper farewell to Ajax’s fans. Blind endeared himself to fans at Ajax over the years he played for them and it hasn’t taken long for Man United fans to warm to him already in his short career in England.
