Saidy Janko scores wondergoal on Bolton Wanderers debut and grabs assist

Saidy Janko enjoyed a dream debut on loan at Bolton Wanderers last night by scoring a wondergoal and also getting an assist.

The 19-year-old played on the right-wing for Bolton and proved to be the gamechanger on the night with a performance which will fill him with confidence having joined Bolton on transfer deadline day.

Janko set up Eidur Gudjohnsen for Bolton’s equaliser with an excellent cross from the right flank:

He then followed his assist up with a thunderbolt strike which rifled straight into the roof of the net to send the Bolton fans wild:

Neil Lennon was understandably delighted with Janko’s performance: “On his debut, Saidy assists one and scores a wonder goal,” he said after the game.

“We’d like to think he’d be happy with his evening’s work, but you never know with Saidy. He’s a really level headed lad.”

Janko himself will be delighted with how he got on and so are Man United fans because it’s always excellent to see a youngster get on well on loan, let alone on his debut.
