Manchester United sent scouts to Portugal this weekend in order to watch SC Braga’s Rafa Silva in action.

Portugal’s A Bola report details the attendance of Man United scouts who watched the 21-year-old attacking midfielder play the full 90 minutes against Nacional in a 3-1 victory for Braga.

As well as scouts from Man United there were representatives from other clubs such as Liverpool, Tottenham and Everton.

Having scored two goals in his 22 league appearances for Braga, he certainly isn’t the most prolific attacking midfielder this season but like last season, United have kept their scouting network active in Portugal.

Last season, it was the future of William Carvalho which interested United fans the most and as is the case, United’s scouting network are keeping active just like they were last season under David Moyes.

United’s priority in the upcoming summer is more than likely going to be a defensively minded midfielder given how many creative options the squad has, so somebody of Silva’s ilk could be another player who further imbalances the squad.
