Manchester United’s Angelo Henriquez was back among the goals with a brace on Saturday against local rivals NK Zagreb in a 2-0 victory for Dinamo Zagreb.
Those goals from Henriquez put him on 19 for the season with Dinamo and mean he is now level with Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez as Europe’s most prolific Chilean striker.
Sure, Henriquez is playing in the Croatian league which is infinitely easier than what Sanchez has to deal with in the Premier League but it is still a great achievement for him to be up there in the goalscoring charts with a player who has been a great signing for Arsenal.
Henriquez has been in the press this week after reports from Croatia emerged saying he had agreed personal terms with Dinamo Zagreb so his brace is certainly well timed in that respect.
Even before he scored a brace against NK Zagreb this weekend, Man United fans have been discussing whether Henriquez should be given a shot at Old Trafford and it’s hard to ignore his impressive goalscoring record this season.
As we covered earlier, reports already suggest Dinamo have secured Henriquez on a permanent deal next year but with such a good record, he may could instead be factored into United’s plans.
With United’s strikers performing so poorly this season, would it be the right idea to let Henriquez leave without giving him a chance?
