A Manchester United U14s squad (born in 2001 or after) will take part in the youth tournament Copa sa Pobla next week.
The squad, which is actually a mix between U13s and U14s given the difference in age group format between England and Spain, will start their campaign from 31 March and will be up against U.D Poblense, S.D La Salle, U.D Arsenal, Alboraya U.D, Selection del Turia and Athletic Marratxi in their group.
Should United proceed to the next stage, they may have chances to face some strong academies such as Valencia C.F and R.C.D Mallorca.
This is not the first team this group of players head to Spain as they reached semi-final of the prestigious MIC tournament two years ago.
Plenty of youngsters who played two years ago will still be in the squad this time round such as captain Mason Greenwood, who will be aiming to collect another Player of the tournament award having won the same individual honours at the MIC tournament and Milk Cup last year.
The last version of the tournament saw United’s rival Man City emerged as the winner of the U12s age group where they beat U.D Poblense, a team who United will face in the group stage.
Whatever the results, this is another great experience for this young United squad.
