MUTV Predicted Manchester United XI vs Crystal Palace

MUTV’s Stewart Gardner has given his predicted Manchester United XI for today’s game against Crystal Palace and there a few changes from the team who faced West Brom last weekend.

Wayne Rooney returns up front, Daley Blind comes back into the midfield and Luke Shaw takes up his spot at left-back.

Phil Jones also comes in alongside Chris Smalling to replace Paddy McNair.

It’s a much more balanced team than what Louis van Gaal has been able to use in Man United’s most recent games and the return of Blind to midfield would be such a big boost, as it allows Rooney to go back up front where he is a much better player.

Robin van Persie being dropped would not be a surprise because he simply wasn’t good enough last week against West Brom and Rooney is United’s first-choice striker. In a 4-3-3 formation, there’s not enough room for both of them.
