The agent of Chelsea keeper Petr Cech has revealed the 32-year-old would be open to joining Manchester United this summer.
The Czech Republic international moved to Chelsea in 2004 and is a fans’ favourite at Stamford Bridge but he has lost his place to Thibaut Courtois this season.
The player’s agent, Viktor Kolar, insisted Cech is keeping his options open when it comes to deciding his future and that United may well be a possible destination for him.
Speaking about the situation, Kolar said: ”Arsenal, United or PSG are all top clubs. And Petr would like to join one of them – definitely.
“Petr expects that [Roman] Abramovic not [Jose] Mourinho will decide about his future, based on their mutual agreement from last year.”
A move to Old Trafford wouldn’t seem to make sense from Cech’s point of view as he would then have to contend with competition from Victor Valdes.
However, Cech has proven over the years that he is a top quality keeper and it is only natural for United to be interested in him. One poor season doesn’t make a bad player and he undoubtedly has the ability to make an impact in a United shirt.
