Raheem Sterling is going to leave Liverpool this summer, that much has been abundantly clear by his agent Aidy Ward, but will it be to Manchester United?
Ward insists Sterling will not move to Bayern Munich, Barcelona or Real Madrid and has indicated the Premier League is likely to be his destination which leaves four potential suitors; United, Chelsea, City and Arsenal.
Now, with Gerrard going and Suarez gone, Sterling has decided his future lies away from Liverpool but while it’s all good fun seeing United linked with a move for him, that’s as far as I want to see it go.
United should only be in for Sterling to wind up Liverpool, not because they are seriously interested in a move for him. Not only is there absolutely no chance of a player moving directly between the clubs but who is to say his agent wouldn’t be kicking off again in two years chasing even more money? It wouldn’t be worth the hassle.
What do you think about Raheem Sterling and a potential move to Manchester United? We’d love to hear your thoughts.
