United Peoples TV: Manchester United lead race for Ilkay Gundogan?

Manchester United have been given a boost in their pursuit of Ilkay Gundogan after Bayern Munich dropped their interest in the player, according to reports in Germany.

Bayern are said to be unconvinced by the player and whether or not he is back to his best following a serious back injury.

Of course, Man United do not want to be signing players who are not deemed good enough for the top teams but they could certainly do worse than bring Gundogan in.

After all, Louis van Gaal has often had to ask Wayne Rooney to play in the middle of the park this season.

Elsewhere, United are said to be stepping up their efforts to sign French youngster Dayot Upamecano.

Manchester City have entered the race to sign the talented defender but United have shown him round their Carrington training ground in an attempt to convince him to agree a deal at Old Trafford. United are leading the race to sign Upamecano.

Finally, Laurent Blanc has revealed that Barcelona’s Dani Alves will not be joining Paris Saint-Germain in the summer. As ever, United Peoples TV will be bringing you updates on the transfer window as and when they happen.
