In the latest edition of United Peoples TV’s Transfer Daley series, Sam looks at rumours once again suggesting that Manchester United are plotting a move for Liverpool’s Raheem Sterling.
It is unlikely that a Liverpool player will ever move to Man United anytime soon so perhaps Louis van Gaal is stirring the pot over at Anfield.
Alternatively, Sterling’s agent could be attempting to drum up a bidding war between Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal.
Gabriel Heinze did come close to a transfer between the two clubs back in 2007 but Sir Alex Ferguson eventually blocked a move.
Elsewhere, Barcelona’s Neymar and Lionel Messi have had their say on the transfer speculation surrounding Dani Alves.
The Brazilian has been linked with a move to United but his teammates have both revealed that they want him to stay in Spain.
Although Alves has been excellent for Barcelona since the start of the year, there is a question mark over how long the 32-year-old can maintain his performance levels. While experienced, United may be better served looking elsewhere.
