Manchester United will make an improved offer of €20m for Torino’s Matteo Darmian this week, according to Sky Italia.
The highly rated 25-year-old, considered to be one of Serie A’s best right-backs, was reportedly made the subject of a €15m bid from Man United last weekend.
Darmian has been linked with a number of clubs including Barcelona and Arsenal but it looks like Louis van Gaal has made the first move for him.
The player himself is said to be unsure over a move but United are expected to ramp up their interest in the next few days:

With Dani Alves and Nathaniel Clyne choosing to play elsewhere and Everton reportedly reluctant to sell Seamus Coleman, van Gaal faces a battle to solve his problem at right-back.
Antonio Valencia was preferred over Rafael last term even though right-back isn’t his natural position and he ended up putting in a number of sub-par performances over the course of the campaign.
Some United supporters have been getting frustrated about the lack of transfer activity thus far this summer so Ed Woodward would be wise to wrap up any deals soon.
