Here is the latest Manchester United transfer news and gossip.

Saturday was dominated by one man and one man only; Bastian Schweinsteiger.

Man United officially confirmed that they had reached an agreement with Bayern Munich over the transfer of the player, subject to a medical and personal terms.

The German World Cup winner will provide Louis van Gaal’s midfield with a huge injection of quality and he will be a wonderful addition.

As well as Schweinsteiger, United also announced the signing of Torino right-back Matteo Darmian in what was an incredible day of activity at the club.

United could also bring in another player in the next 24 hours as a deal for Morgan Schneiderlin is being pushed through quickly.

Elsewhere, reports from Spain suggested Iker Casillas has said his goodbyes to his Real Madrid teammates. The Spaniard is set for a move to Porto and it could have huge implication’s for Madrid’s pursuit of David de Gea. If the 24-year-old does leave United he could be replaced by Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak, according to AS.

Robin van Persie might also be on his way out of Old Trafford. Fenerbahce chairman Aziz Yildirim stated on Saturday that a deal to take the striker to Turkey is “done.”

Finally, United youngster Josh Harrop has reportedly signed a new two-year deal at the club. Harrop is considered to be a bright prospect and it is good to see United place faith in their young players.
