Football is back.
After a summer break filled with nothing but transfer rumours, reports and completed deals, Manchester United are finally ready to get back in action on the pitch.
Tomorrow morning’s game against Club America kicks off at 4am GMT on July 18 and fans are eagerly anticipating kick-off, thanks in no small part to the fact there are four new signings all waiting for their debut.
Memphis Depay, Matteo Darmian, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin have all been training this week with Louis van Gaal‘s side in Seattle and are in line to play their first game in a United shirt.
As Club America have already been playing matches this summer, they are expected to come into the game sharper and more match fit than United, so it should certainly be a competitive game in that respect.
The game against Club America is the first time that this new look United plays together and ahead of the new season, fans are hoping the players can bond well on the pitch because it is a tough opening game of the season against Tottenham Hotspur.
All in all, Club America is nothing more than a friendly and there are no repercussions from a loss but Van Gaal is competitive and won’t want anything other than three points, so expect United to play hard.
