Javier Pastore has revealed that Manchester United midfielder Angel di Maria wants to join him at Paris Saint-Germain.
Di Maria has been strongly linked with a move to France following a difficult season at Man United.
It looks like a deal is all but completed, with several reports suggesting that United and PSG have agreed a £44m fee for the Argentine.
Compatriot Pastore revealed that Di Maria has asked him about life in Paris ahead of the potential move.
“He [Di Maria] wants to come. I told him to join us,” he said.
“He is a very great player. Plus, he alone can win important matches.
“I told him to join us. He also asked me many questions about the club, the city and the way of life for his family.”
Di Maria is reportedly unsettled in Manchester and it is understandable that he wants to leave if his family aren’t happy.
However, the way he has gone about the potential transfer has been totally unprofessional. The 27-year-old failed to board a plane to the United States for United’s pre-season tour last month and Louis van Gaal recently admitted that he doesn’t know where Di Maria currently is. His attitude stinks and hopefully the transfer is wrapped up sooner rather than later.
