Here is the latest Manchester United transfer news and gossip.
Man United are always on the lookout for talented youngsters across Europe and now Rafik Zekhnini has put himself on the radar after admitting it was his dream to move to Old Trafford.
The 17-year-old midfielder is highly coveted in Norway and is considered by some as a bigger talent than Martin Odegaard, the wonderkid who moved to Real Madrid last year after visiting every single elite club in Europe before he made his choice.
In other news, Louis van Gaal was questioned about transfers by reporters in his press conference ahead of Newcastle.
He insisted he was happy with his squad and when asked about whether new signings would be made, he said: “You have to wait and see. It is not any pressure for me – we have 28 players.”
Elsewhere, Pep Guardiola has been discussing Thomas Muller’s future once again but has said his future is not up to him at all and falls solely at the feet of the club’s upper hierarchy instead.
Muller is the ideal signing for United this summer but as has always been the case, it is considered extremely unlikely that Bayern Munich will let him leave, especially in the same window that Bastian Schweinsteiger moved to Old Trafford.
