Rafik Zekhnini: My dream is to play for Manchester United

Rafik Zekhnini has revealed it is his dream to play for Manchester United.

The 17-year-old midfielder is considered by some to be a better talent than wonderkid Martin Odegaard, who recently moved to Real Madrid aged just 16, and he has been in the spotlight this week.

Man United are believed to be following Zekhnini’s progress and now the talented winger has revealed it is his dream to move to Old Trafford.

Borussia Dortmund played his side Odds BK this week in a friendly and recovered from being 3-0 down to win the game 4-3 and Zekhnini’s performance really caught the eye.

Speaking to Nettavisen, Zekhnini said: “I cannot say where I’ll be in five years. I’m going to give everything, every day, so we’ll see where I end up. In my dreams, Manchester United top the wish list.”

Mats Hummels was certainly impressed by Zekhnini’s performance against Dortmund (see his highlights at the top of the article) and his reaction when he found out he was only 17 is testament to how good he is for that age.

There is a real buzz around Zekhnini already and that’s only likely to grow in intensity the more he continues to impress, but United have got the upper hand now knowing full well his dream is to move to United.
