Manchester United midfielder Ashley Young was delighted to help his team reach the group stage of the Champions League with a 4-0 win against Club Brugge.
Young starting the game on the bench before he replaced Juan Mata just after the hour mark. Coming onto the right wing in a straight swap for the Spaniard, Young looked dangerous taking on the full-back and putting in some high quality crosses.
The Englishman was unlucky not to notch an assist after a fantastic ball into the box could only be lifted over from six yards by Javier Hernandez.
Young reserved special praise for his captain, Wayne Rooney, whose hat-trick put United well on the way back into Europe’s Elite competition.

With the Reds place in the group stage now secured, players like Young will know they have a massive part to play in the coming weeks.
The games will be coming thick and fast for United and every member of the squad will be crucial to ensure Louis Van Gaal‘s men are competing on all fronts come the end of the season.
